Fuji Express Hibachi & Sushi in DeLand

First time here and the prices are so affordable we wanted to try ALL THE THINGS! We ordered both the miso and clear soups, as the hibachi lunches and dinners do not include soup. They were only $1.50 per bowl. The miso has spinach and tofu, while the clear soup is what you'd expect from a typical hibachi place with mushrooms and scallions. The soup was good, as were the salads with ginger dressing. Next, we had a Red Dragon Roll (my favorite thing there) - which has shrimp tempura, avocado, and cucumber and is topped with spicy tuna. I think I would come here JUST for this. So good! I asked for extra spicy mayo and sriracha on the side to give it an extra kick. Finally, we had steak hibachi with noodles and steak and scallop hibachi. The hibachi meals come with the salad, rice, veggies, and one side of yum yum sauce. Noodles are an upcharge. Everything was very good, my only suggestion is that they make the yum yum sauce a little less sweet. Overall, GREAT value and good food.

Finally, amazing sushi in Hernando County! After moving back from Tampa, it’s the one thingI always missed the most! This place is super clean, the food is great, staff is friendly and attentive. I’ve told so many people about this gem! The hibachi is great, even when ordered to-go. Cooked to perfection and tastes amazing! Great prices as well! Highly recommend!

Delicious food! Clean place and the staff was friendly! We tried 3 new rolls tonight...the volcano, the hungry, & the angel hair. My 5 year old got a basic California roll. We will definitely be back, just sad that they are a half hour from us. We would order delivery every so often.

This place is one of the best Japanese restaurants in town! I frequent this place often because of the amazing food and low prices. The staff is also very nice and very hard working. I would definitely recommend this place over all the others if you're in the mood for Japanese food. This restaurant is just awesome! 👍🏼

The food tasted decent. However, the hibachi lunch portion consist of 3/4 fried rice, 1/4 vegetables, and literally 5-6 bite size pieces of chicken! First visit and was very disappointed.

I usually only get the hibachi veggies and rice with yum yum sauce of course and I’m never disappointed. When I worked off Cortez Blvd we would order lunch on the regular from here and loved it!!

So delicious. Concidering the prices, you can't beat this habachi place. This is my second time coming here and ive left happy each time. Friendly staff, amazing prices, quick and convient. Lots of options, good amount of seating, lots of parking.

I don't usually put a review out there but this was my first time eating here, I got my food and what looks to be egg shells in the rice.... As well as extremely small portion of chicken for a 14 dollar platter, I got an overall order of 40 dollars and I could have gotten multiple meals but I decided to spring for something nice. I can't get ahold of the restaurant and all I want is my money back. I'm so upset it is extremely frustrating....

This place was great! I've been waiting for good take out hibachi and this really did the trick. The staff was extremely nice and it was a pleasant surprise with the amount of food and flavor. Try it you won't be disappointed!

We order here probably 1-2 times a week. It’s so good and they are pretty quick! The order is always correct. The only downside is they charge you for a little tiny side order of yum-yum sauce.

A good place to order and go. There are tables, however, you will not be served. Along with the vegetable hibachi, I had the peanut avocado sushi and the combination of the peanut and avocado was worth buying again for seconds. lol. Noodles are not included with your meal and is an upcharge. No soup/salad included for the lunch. The noodles had a different flavor to it, but I can't pin point exactly what the flavor was. But the sushi, rice and vegetables were the best.

Sushi is fresh and delicious. I loved the hibachi and chicken fried rice. I am excited to eat here again.

Fantastic food, customer service & very clean! This place is hands down amazing in all aspects of a restaurant. Our sushi and hibachi was amazing and perfectly cooked. Everything was fresh and hot. The sushi rolls were nice and big. Thank you so much for a great dinner. I highly recommend everyone to try this place out you won't be disappointed! We live around the corner & will be coming all the time.

Our first time yesterday, and it wont be our last. I ordered the steak hibachi, my hubby ordered the rock and roll sushi, he loved the presentation...I had some delicious crab rangoon, as appetizers, I ordered the fried shrimp as well, not my favorite, but my hubby liked it. I loved my hibachi, it was fresh and well portioned. The staff was AMAZING....thank you to the guy that takes the orders, he saw my face of confusion, and explained the menu to me, he was nice and attentive💝. The hibachi master came out to ask if we enjoyed the food, and let me tell you, I had my mouth full of goodness, so I was only able to move my head, and cover my mouth to say yes. Overall, THANK you for an amazing dinner, this restaurant is a true gem.

Food is fresh, delicious, healthy, and affordable. What’s not to love? Due to the busy kid and work schedules, I go here several times a week to pick up dinner. Both the kitchen food and sushi is consistently good. The staff is friendly and conscientious of the customer’s needs. The restaurant is clean and well kept. Just remember, this is a quick service style restaurant without the flair of a sit down full service restaurant. All designed to offer high quality healthy food at an affordable price. Our family thanks them for their hard work and dedication to offering delicious, quality food at a price point that is affordable.

This spot clearly knows how to satisfy their customers. Regularly with a super friendly attitude. The food is affordably priced, always fresh and neat.

Ordered multiple times. Best Asian cuisine in the area, hands down. The sushi is about $5 for a salmon roll, with the thickest salmon I've ever had in sushi, all three orders tasted fresh and delicious! I've ordered the Hibachi twice, comes with salad, veggies, fried rice, and meat. It is the same amount for half the price as places like Fujiyama. Same amount means it feeds me for two meals! AND THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! Every order, from ordering in the afternoon, to ordering right before closing. They are consistent with their quality, and the prices are great.

Food is good and inexpensive. Place is very clean and service is fast and courteous.

We have been waiting for a place like this in our area, and we finally have it! Always great service and even better food! We will be returning multiple times in the future. Not sure why this place isn't busier, it's amazing.

From the moment you walk in you can feel how warm and welcoming the entire staff is! My family came with a few toddlers who were entertained by your staff members and were even given balloons that sent their happiness through the roof!! THEN, it was topped off with an AMAZING lunch special for an incredible price for such quality food! I hope this business continues to stay passionate and confident in what they do!! Beautiful restaurant!!
